Just feeling a bit down really, want some cheering up from you lot please.

Having some problems with college (again ) and its getting me down and they are being completly useless as normal and its going to affect my grades if they cant sort it out and soon :(.

So I'm now feeling rubbish about every thing else.
We are finally getting out to pony club for the first time after several diffrent reasons for not getting there before now and I'm starting to get worried. I keep thinking we are not going to be good enough and we dont jump high enough to fit in, combined with my fear of riding in front of new instructors (long story) I'm actually getting quite nervous now. I know it sounds stupid but I cant even think about it enough to get things ready.

Ice cream going on offer for reading

No need to worry about pony club! I'm a member and was equally worried about fitting in, there will be all sorts of levels there, and the instructors are always lovely and won't try to push you into anything you're not comfortable with- they want you to do well and enjoy yourself! :) so don't worry, it's loads of fun and great experience :D
College and school is always a pain, but just keep thinking positive and try not to let yourself get too upset, in my experience the things you worry about always have a way of working themselves out :)
Hope some of that was helpful!

Don't worry about PC. Your pone is lovely and everyone else will think so too.

As for college, being useless is kind of what they do. I'm sure you'll do fine despite of them. Chin up ducky!

Rest assured you wont be the only nervous one at PC and some have big ego's to uphold - go and have some fun , everyone will be far too interested in thier own performance to worry about how high yours can jump!! College is always a pain , get some good YOU time with your pony and meet those college problems head-on - you can do it. Also , don't worry about riding in front of people - we all ride the same really - one leg each side , hopefully going forwards , ok so some people can do it more elegently , some people have a knack of staying on when things go wrong , but we are all having fun aren't we? There's so many disabled , uncared for and needy kids out there who can only dream of the life we are having with our horses , maybe it's time to take stock of what you have got..

Thanks will try not to worry but with the track record they have and the time I have left I dont know if they will get any thing done in time :(

Its not that he cant jump, he can but I have been taking him sowly so he is not jumping anything larger yet as I dont feel he is ready and I cant set him up on a good enough take off so he has to be confident him self. I know some people wont get the issues I have with new instructors but after loosing all my confidence with one instructor I am wary of new ones.
I do appreciate what I have with my horse I only got him a year ago and I bought him my self and have put all the work in to him as I couldnt afford a ready made horse, then saved up for a trailer so we could go out and about.

Just thought I would update and say thanks for the encouragment. College have got back to me and only a day later than they said so a bit of a record, its not the best result possible but it means I can still get my grades without having to do loads of extra work, so thats a relief.

I got asked if I wanted to hack out this evening with some one so that was nice as normally no one wants to ride with me. We went in the school after and had a little play over some jumps, we jumped the height he normally does at the end of a grid on its own so that was a bit of a boost. The other persons horse is huge so she has them a bit bigger than me so he actually has to jump so we did the same.

Babymare - thanks you talk a lot of sense, I had a similar chat with my mum tonight but she dosent really understand it as she dosent ride. Yes I have brought him on all on my own, he has only had a few others sit on him since I got him and most of them were when he first arrived. Will try our best to enjoy pc just having a dilemma over bitting now  oh well I will report back tomorow night with how we get on.

jeeve - thanks will try to stop worrying :)
