Have been mulling over whether I might put Rose in foal again next year. Put her in foal last year as she had been lame and thought a year off would put her right but doesn't look as if she will stand up to any decent exercise and she is not the sort of horse that is suitable for light hacking, ie. she needs loads of work. So, she needs a job to do.

Dropped it into conversation with OH a couple of times now and will try the direct route next time as no great explosions so far!!!!

Had what looks like a pretty nice foal this time which I plan to keep as my future riding horseBUT would definitely HAVE TO SELL the next one. Mmmmm, wonder what the likelihood of that will be!

I'm debating it with mine. My Dad is getting very into it, has started talking again about buying a house with land so babies can grow up at home. OH's parents adore the idea and have told me I can have youngsters on their land.

Had a very nice foalie this year, debate is a full brother or sister, or a new stallion, if so which one....hmmmm!

Yes I know exactly what you mean!

And yes, Shilasdair, you probably haven't helped the situation!
