Ive just had my 11mth old colt gelded & I cant believe how guilty I feel. I know it was for the best as he just wasnt quite good enough to be kept entire & after his behaviour this last week I woulnt want him to be either! But hes just looking so sorry for himself :( I think its been really hard as hes my first homebred foal & I have such a strong bond with him.

Sorry for the moan/feeling sorry for myself post just needed to get it out.

Thank you for your kind words! I do know its for the best & I would much rather a happy gelding than a difficult, unhappy stallion (I know not all stallions lead such a life Im just going with the stereotypical view, please dont pounce on me!)
Ive just been to turn him out for a while & bless the little man he keeps looking down there as if hes trying to figure out whats missing! lol! But other than that hes oblivious!

You mean to say you didnt keep them in pickled in a jar to remind you of what you've done to that poor creature? :D

I'm sure he'll be fine and you have nothing to feel guilty about :)

lol Kenzo!!

i did question pinning them to his door for a few days to remind him who was boss, but thought the cats might try & eat them!

Mine was done last week and I felt so guilty seeing his wee face after, I nearly cried. A week later and he's capering round the field without a care in the world! x
