Ended up riding the horse of a friend of a friend (mouthful!!) today . .
17hh WarmbloodxTB Gelding with the most amazing fluid paces - I love big geldings :-) He is a schoolmaster type in that he has done everything to a high standard and has plenty of character. Anyhoo we were in the outdoor menage and it was pretty windy so he got very spooky and threw in a few playful bucks before taking it into his head to pig off with me at high speed jump the post and rail fence and have a gallop around a large neighbouring field. Just kept my cool and once he had had it out with the invisible spooks took him back into the arena and popped him over a few 3ft fences before cooling him off etc. I've been floating in the vicinity of cloud nine ever since. I lost my confidence after 3 successive bad falls and a total nutcase of a horse a few years back. Got back into riding 6 months ago and have been loving my lessons and hacks each week but had felt I still lacked a lot of confidence. But today when I was put to the test everything just came naturally and I didn't even break a sweat. I've officially got my MoJo back!!!

Haha that sounds scary and exciting

Must be a bloody good horse if it jumped the arena fence

Sadly post and rail fence wasn't the 'normal' size . . . its made out of half logs like you would see on a cabin if that makes any sense??

But you still took everything the naughty boy threw at you and stayed on! Good for you
