Don’t worry at all, I got back into riding after 3 yrs off and the first horse I rode was the one I was trying. I was pooing myself, but he was perfect and I fell in love instantly, and now he’s all mine :)

Remember, if it doesn’t work out, then there’s always a special one around the corner. If it does, you’ll thank yourself forever for taking the plunge! Good luck and enjoy the excitement!!

Trying out a strange horse is scary, its not just you. I've had to do it more often than I would like as I now have 2 retired not that old horses. I also have been with my friend and I am the test dummy to do a safety check on the basis if I won't get on (and I won't if I'm not happy with how it looks), she won't - I then get on for a quick ride just walk, trot, canter each way and say yes its ok - but it alsolutely scares the life out of me. Just try and enjoy it and don't get on if you think you won't be able to ride it. If you're not sure get your trainer on first-that's what they are there for. Fortunately with video these days we can usually rule those out before we view - but I did view one horse and thought no way!!!! I just said lovely horse but he is not for me (actually there was a panicky conversation with my trainer who was with me when I checked she really didn't expect me to get on - she agreed). Let us know how it goes
