So i did... i have a 4yr coloured mare that i backed at the begining of this year. She has been so easy and i love her to bits. She has not put a foot wrong.. until yesterday....

We went out for a hack and she felt relaxed and calm but then something spooked her in the hedge and she lost it and just started bronking and bronking and bronking .. until i went flying...OUCH.

Cue a trip in an amblance to hospital and now back at home with broken ribs and feeling like i have been run over by a bus...

We were meant to be moving yards on Wednesday to one with more facilites to really get us going thought the winter. Think that will have to be put on hold for a while.

Sorry dont mean to moan just feeling a bit low, think i must of banged my head.

Enjoy your sunny Sunday

Still i guess being at home means more HHO so thats not so bad

Hope you feel better soon
Sure most people on here have had some kind of mishap with horses but continue to ride and own horses--they are totally addictive in the nicest possible way.

I agree, it wasnt really her fault, she just freaked and then lost it. She is only a baby bless her. By all accounts she was in a right state when she got back to the yard. But not injured and when she calmed down they said she was fine.

They are totally addicve tho, eat all you time and money - love them!

Hey, Sorry to hear that - must be very sore, i'm on week 7 of broken pelvis and SI joint - it gets better and the frustration of not riding and progressing gets better in a few weeks too. Mine was from a broncing horse, totally uncharacteristic of him but thats horses!! Hope pain eases soon - take all the pills they will give you in my recommendation! Good luck
