I was out riding at 6am this morning!! Roads were very quiet and I have to say, it was the nicest hack I've been on for ages. The ned was a bit confused though, only got a small handful of his breakfast before we went out!

Now the summer's here and its too hot later on in the day, do many of you ride at the crack of dawn?

Yep, had a fab ride on my mothers horse up on the moors early this morning - best time of the day

& very good for my morale whilst I wait for the x-rays outcome on mine later today.

Always have done! Best part of the day! Get up and out by 6am and sometimes earlier in the summer months. I would in winter too only it is dark and I have to hack on roads. My horse is used to it although some mornings I catch him still flat out snoring in his field stable and he is never too easy to get up...especially when there is tack in evidence!

Thanks, he's gone through a lot this week. bone scans, nerve blockings and now a whole bunch of x-rays. So far looking like sacroilliac joint and possibly stifle problems and now they are looking at his front fetlocks.

I love riding early in the morning or late in the evening.

I don't ride during the day in the middle of the summer because it is too hot and so it's lovely to go out at the end of the day during sunset - very peaceful and relaxing!
