Moved my pony today to his new yard :)

I've been worried about it to be honest as I liked my old yard but it didnt suit my pony, there were no riding facilities and no one to hack with. I've agonised over it but made the decision and moved him asap before I changed my mind!

Anyway, he loaded like a dream. Even stopped before the ramp to poo so he didnt dirty the box! Came off chilled as anything, went into the field and rolled then had a look around. Introduced him to his new field buddy and they had a sniff and carried on grazing.

I've gone from 0.7 acre paddock (grass livery) full of mud on a yard with no facilities, to a 2 acre paddock on sand so no mud! Sand school, stable (although I wont use it I have it there) Excellent off road hacking, cheaper hay and my own tack/feed room, closer to home, people to ride with and its a fiver a week cheaper!

I hope this place is "the one" Im sick of moving yards!

Some pictures from today as he's so cute :)

Thanks for reading xx

Got to love a Haffy! I'm jealous you have no mud, my Haffy is fetlock deep (gateway only). Hope your move works out for you x

Thanks everyone. He was knee deep at other yard so the fact he can move around is great!

He might even get groomed at this yard! x

He has settled in brilliantly.

Had our first schooling session today in the new place and he was so much better than I thought he'd be! He even ignored all the other horses being brought in and fed. So proud of my ginger beast.

Cant remember if I put this in the original post post my local show lost its ground which was hacking distance from my old yard. Once it was gone there was nothing keeping me at that yard. It was confirmed a couple of days a go that they have secured new grounds less than 2 miles from my new yard! I think its fate I get my boy to the shows :) xx

Looks very happy. You move the other horse too, or has he made friends already?!

Sorry just read first post properly, it's lovely when they chill out straight off :) Will you have company overnight too (think I recall not at last place).

Definitely seems it was worth the move :)
