june 06 farrier didnt see the problem!!!

hope you will all agree there is quite a differance i was quite shocked when i looked bk at how bd they were!

There's certainly a difference. However, how long had she been shod in the first photo compared to the second lot??

Lordy! I find it terrifying that there are still some farriers out there who think the "before" is acceptable!

Would I be right in guessing that the lovely new job is probably being done by one of the TFP guys?

1st and 2nd photos at 4 1/2 weeks (ish)
3rd four weeks but had been replace week previous as lost it!!
4th one wk after last shoeing.

I think yes to TPF? Maybe i should find out!

blimey I thought our TB had bad feet, you serious that your farrier was registered and DIDNT see a problem, they didnt even look properly trimmed back???

They look great now, glad your horse has a nice owner!!!

Lovely angle now, awful before. Can`t understand why he didn`t have tendon problems. He certainly would have done if you hadn`t intervened. Well done you - I say.

the whole story is quite long and complecated but, when vets suggested her feet needed triming back he suggested that it wouldnt be possiable and pads would make no differance. after top photos did reluctanlty put pads on and trim bk a bit but put her bk in 'normal' shoes instead of having nb set bk! went lame again and x rays showed that the angle had got worse not better!!! so then changed!
yes i think its quite a amazing that she never had any tendon problem to - hope she stays that way!!!
