FEI and the Rules

I came onto forum after reading article in this weeks H & H regarding the rule on blood in mouth. I was looking to see what you all thought about it. I am obviously looking in wrong places, because I can find no debate at all, please where is it? Ta very much
 
It only came out yesterday, and I don't see anything on latest news, so this may be the start of the debate!

I think it's a grey area personally. Although FEI can't auto-eliminate for blood in the mouth they can end a test when welfare is a concern. They'd presumably then argue that blood in the mouth is a welfare issue so were allowed to end Adelinde's test. However, it doesn't matter what's done now - Adelinde didn't post a WEG performance so it's not like she's going to be given a medal and prize winnings that she wasn't permitted to lift before. I suppose a legal case might raise some funds but it might not be worth all the publicity, time and effort. My feeling is that the FEI will come up with a specific rule one way or the other now it's been highlighted, and while Adeline and her national team will voice their disappointment, that'd be the end of the matter. My feeling could of course be wrong entirely! lol.
 
thanks vixen (thats some moniker by the way!), it was exactly the point about sueing etc etc that I was wondering about, here goes, if you are the team manager or if you are the president of the ground jury, surely you should know the rules inside out, upside down and be able to recite them in your sleep, and even if you don't know every one, would there not have been someone with a rule book? It is this that I do not understand, at any event I have been at, and by this I mean a FEI event there has always been someone with said rule book, and in fact you can bet your bottom dollar, that they will be on the case immediately. If and I know it is a big ask, you are the aforementioned team manager would you then not be in some way responsible for making sure the rules were known and properly adhered to. I am not blaming anyone for this, I really am not, but I do hope this does not get into another costly and long-winded legal fight. lol
