I read about this the other day and was so pleased, lets hope the UAE takes this seriously and addresses all the issues otherwise they wont be competing again.

Yes, I agree with you; 'Let's Hope'! The reality I suspect, is that with the colossal power which the UAE wield, they will not take this seriously and they will continue to compete. However heartened we may be by the FEI stance, I doubt that they have the spine that's needed. Should I be wrong, then I'll be my very own critic!

You're clearly of the view that this situation is a disgrace, and I agree with you there, too.

Alec, they cannot compete until the FEI has its way and the UAE equestrian federation signs the agreement that the FEI has put forward.

No doubt the UAE will appeal to the CAS, but if you read the decision you'll see that the FEI considers it highly unlikely that the CAS will rule in favor of the UAE.

I think that the UAE has finally overestimated its influence. The photos of horses being chased by motorized vehicles and the photos of horses with fractured legs, give the FEI the upper hand. There is just too much evidence (available for the world to see) of wrongdoing by the UAE federation in so many instances, for this to be "swept under the rug" as it has been in the past.

Some of the UAE requests and statements in the document are clearly the result of massive egotism and are so stunningly ridiculous that no intelligent person can take them seriously.
