So I went to my 2nd BSJA guinea pig day yesterday and all was going well....we were doing an exercise focusing on strides and seat not size of fence so there was a pole to a 1ft upright and we were riding it on 5-7 strides in 2 and 3 point seat, came round to do 7 strides in 2 point seat and this happened!...
Have watched it in slow mo and we get 7 strides in then for some reason (I think coz he was using himself and being round not fast and flat) Soap jumps abour 3ft over it, spots something in mid air, lands left with his front legs then spooks off rght on his 1st landing stride and I come wheeeeeeeeee out the side door! Marks out of 10 for the dismount please?
Anyway that was a little odd very un-Soap behaviour and 2nd time I have fallen off him in 3 years!!! so was a bit bemused and looked like a baldy spaceman as my hat silk flew off!
Got back on and Soap was super polite! carried on and he was perfect...very odd...
Things got worse....
Back at yard tied him up to brush him off before putting him away, and he pulled back, was tied to string then metal ring onto mobile field shelter whch we use as a feed store. somehow he pulled a whole plank off the side of the building which I couldn't see as was facing the other way and SMACK! plank hits me round the back of the head!!!!! Cue me falling over, throwing up, and not being able to stand up without help, so despite my protesting I got driven off to A&E
All checked over and given painkillers, got home for a hot bath and spaghetti bolognaise
Feel like I'm made of concete today as neck and shoulders don't seem to want to move, so am walking about like a thunderbird, and trying to persuade my mother to still tow me to my jumping lesson on Friday
