had my first proper lesson on hercules today with a couple other friends. it was all going well until we were trotting round and he tripped i tipped forward a bit and was waiting for his head to come back up it never did! he went down and i flipped over his head. i expected him to be up by the time i looked round but bless him he was looking a bit dazed too. he got up fine and wasnt hurt at all although he maybe a bit sore tomorrow. i'm fine too my ribs hurt and i was a bit winded but we were both very lucky really. apparently it was pretty spectacular my friend said it was the worst fall she'd seen in a flat work lesson! (we were only trotting!)

anyway i got back on and we finished our lesson which was great and he was working really nicely by the end and picking up his feet! lol

thats the worst fall i've had from him and it wasnt really that bad considering neither of us were seriously hurt. and its the first fall i've had in 2years! i'm quite glad it hasnt knocked my confidence atall! it doesnt really bother me if i fall off when its an accident its completely different if its a fall caused by bad behaviour.

anyway kind of a pointless post just thought i would update havnt posted in a while lol cookies and chocolate for anyone who got this far!

yeh we're both fine just a little dazed and sore lol. hopefully it will teach him to pick up his feet! its so annoying when they dont lol.
 
sounds pretty much identical to a fall i had lol it still makes me laugh thinking about it, was my first fall in years and in trot on a bomb proof riding school horse, if you're going to do it, do it propperly i say!
