Hi,I've just registered as I'm after the best advice possible please & thought I'd get that on a Horse & Hound forum :o I'm about make a corral to surround my field shelter (my boys need separated at feed time Plus I need somewhere to tack up safely & exit the main field/gate while mounted without the Little'n escaping when I ride out the big'n as its on a road) Wooden fence Posts i Do have to start me off, but to use All wood is gonna be above my price range! Electric fence tape isn't my best option as it's wired & I'm worried he'll panic & get tangled ,Is there Anything out there that hasn't got Wire running through it, that's Safe & Secure yet not gonna rip his legs to bits :-( Oh, and Cheap, I'm as financially ruined as the next horsey gal who Always puts their geegee's safety Above the pennies ,Many thanks in advance ,Heather x

Can you hang a gate in the field shelter that could divide it into 2, you could then shut little un' and feed separately and tack up etc in the other half.

I have stone walks round my field which our youngsters seem very good at pushing down, so I now have some wooden posts and electric tape which they respect. Using the tape ment the upright posts did not have to be as substantial as they would be for post and rail fencing.

Could you try a combination of rails and tape to make your pound area?

Hi Adopter What a great Idea I could use wooden rail just for the top line saving money Then tape for the 2nd line underneath :-) Mine would be just the same with stone walls I feel your pain ;-) Many thanks xxx

Brilliant Paulineh Thank you :-) I shouldn't be so anxious to have Everything done Yesterday haha Then I may have a clear enough head to Think Ahead like that ,Many thanks xxx
