Is there an alternative to electric fencing and post & rail? My friend horse had an accident with electric fencing and it’s scared me. Obviously the cost for post and rail is very expensive so is there an alternative, don’t want anything to heavy like haris fencing thanks be a pain to move but is there any light movable fencing options out there?

You can get quick release clips for electric fencing to make it safer. I'm pretty sure voss do them.
This, put in plenty of break points, avoid the rope type, use the appropriate energiser for the length of your fence ( dont forget a 2 strand fence is double the length!), and keep the fencing taut and strim underneath so it's always zappy. If it's properly maintained and the horses respect it, it's as safe as any other type of fencing. Horses can have accidents with anything!

If you need something that's easily movable I would recommend hot tape and plastic clip posts that stake into the ground. Its not the most sturdy fence so I wouldn't have it as a perimeter. However if its on it will keep them where they need to be. It also is flexible enough that if they do run through it, it wont harm them.
