Hey im gunna put some electric tape round outside of field as got barbed wire, how far away from the barbed wire do you think i should put it?

Slightly further than the length from chest to nose of the biggest horse going in the field.

I used to put mine about one metre in as the field was quite small.

it may be a good idea to put wooden posts at the corners to keep it tight .

I would put it just far enough away so that nothing touches it.... too far away and when the grass grows they will be yearning to get to the good grass and might start to push on it if its not too zappy.
