Fens area for horses

Can anyone tell me who lives in the Fens what it is like horsey wise?

Are there many shows in the area
Tack shops/feed shops
whats the riding like
and anything else good or bad.

The fens is a massive area! If you give a bit more detail of where in the fens your thinking of then people might be able to help.

i live in the fens

i have 4 tack shops all within hlf hrs drive from me 2 out of the 4 are about 5 mins away.
i can hack to two local competition venues 1 which holds BD and unaff dr and sj plus loads of clinics and the other is a PC site so holds xc, odes, sj and all pc activities.
there is a local xc course to hire 15 mins lorry drive away also holds xc and ode comps and a few more xc courses less than an hrs away, if u travel less than 2 hrs in most directions you can get to some bigger event venues like keysoe, sheepgate, milton kenyes.
loads and loads of local liveries, riding schools and some brilliant hacking on road and off road
but as dafthoss said the fens is a big place!!!!! where abouts are u looking at???

Thankyou, I am asking for a friend that maybe thinking of moving Fens/Thetford way.

They have not made their minds up for sure which area yet but would like

To have good riding
Be near enough to some shows to compete jumping and showing
Find a nice social network of horsey people
