Fenugreek - does it work?

The powder really worked with Fig :) (more effective than the seeds)

He's currently on 3 x 25ml scoops (one per feed) and he never ever leaves anything now.

Fenugreek is usually used to help gain weight or maintain condition. It does this by slowing glucose absorption and improving insulin response. Work has been done on humans and rats and shows fenugreek to be very useful in insulin resistance. I feed my good doer approx. 30 gms of fenugreek seed a day - I pour boiling water on and leave to cool. I also add it to the bread I make for the insulin resistant humans in the family!

I got the powder for my Sec A about... 6 weeks ago or so? Maybe more (bad memory!). He wasn't finishing his feeds off & needs to gain some weight, he's been polishing them off super fast ever since :) Really pleased with it, not expensive either, and being a power he can't just snuffle out the good bits & leave the rest - a skill he has down to a fine art!
