Anyone know what breeding a horse with the name prefix Fernhill would be? Thanks.

Irish sports horse type. Fernhill horses come from Ireland.

Thank you both that's really helpful, my instructor has found an eventer for us to see with Fernhill breeding so looks promising

Definitely irish horses with the fernhill prefix although I think its where the horses are brought on and produced rather than actually bred, seems to be a lot of fernhill eventers both horses and ponies. Might not be a stud, could be the name of the area, have a look at the irish fields and irish horse board websites. www.irishhorseboard.com you might find some info there

Horses with Fernhill prefixes are Irish Sport Horses, Irish bred, well known prefix on the eventing scene here
