I noticed my horse didn't seem quite level in trot on the left rein about 2 weeks ago. He warms up out of it though and is then sound.

I had the vet out today, and he agreed it is a really minor unlevelness, not nodding lame or anything, but we xrayed just to be sure.

He showed up with minor arthritic changes, sidebone and a bone spur on his fetlock. Left fore. He is 10 years old.

He has had hyaluronic acid and is now on metacam. Will hack only in walk for a week and reassess then.

Does anyone have any experience with this? What was the outcome? The prognosis from my vet seems guarded, and is a bit "let's see how it goes". I want to event at 80/90 and show jump, but I get the impression this might not be possible.
