My horse is lame on a circle, I called vet, nerve blocked and he has narrowed it down to fetlock.(hind). We did x rays but could find nothing so he suggested box rest. My horse goes mad on box rest , constantly weaves and sweats up so I made a small paddock for him and a shetland and he is very calm in it. However 10 days later still no improvement. Can anyone syggest what it could be or is ten days too soon to look for an improvement?

my old horse had problems with his fetlock joints, turned out to be arthritis, but i would have thought your vet would have picked that up on the x-rays, i hope you get it sorted.

yes he was still being ridden, but eventually he had to go on bute, then i really had to slow him down, i lost him to colic in the end, arthritis is manageable, but if the lameness persists them i would ask your vet to take a closer look at x rays good luck.

Hi, my horse was nerve blocked and lameness found to be in near fore fetlock. My vet thinks my horse has colatteral ligament problem , he is also in a small pen in the day and stable at night.
