My horse Boots cut her leg (below fetlock, on front of pastern)on Christmas day but i wasn't informed about it untill boxing day. I had the vet out then who said that it had started to granulate so he couldn't stitch it but said to keep it clean and dry. - Wash it with warm water twice a day and put this spray stuff on that he gave me. He said that if the cold dry weather keeps up it will be fine but if all the snow melts i will have to stable boots while it heals or bandage it. I dont have a stable - trying to source one atm just in case!! Just wondering how i would bandage it? Vet said to put feed bag and duct tape over it like you would do for a poultise but i dont think it would last very long on there due to where it is? Anyone have any experence of this kind of thing? I will call vet back out if i am unsure about it but if there is no need to call him again would rather not.

So this is it, not a great pic but you can see where it is on her leg. Its in a 'V' shape, Thats the left bit of the 'V' you can see. The 'V' is a flap of skin which is about 1inch deep but not down to the bone.
