Hi,

My silly TB mare as over reached 4 times in the field now since I've owned her in Feb. Twice she has caught the coronet band and this time she has took a nice chunk of flesh off aswell.

Once this injury has healed I was going to make her live in over reach boots (she lives out 24/7) but obviously keep an eye that they're not rubbing.

Anyway I was just looking online and saw fetlock rings. I was wondering if these would be better than over reach boots? And as she is over reaching should she wear 1 on each front foot?

Sorry if this sounds like a really novice question, but my 19 year old Sec D has never needed boots of any kind so not got much knowledge in that department!

We have a TB broodmare who has not got good feet which are being addressed at the moment - we put sausage boots on both front feet to try to stop her pulling shoes off. They do not rub like overreach boots especially in the wet and definiately help.

Brilliant thank you for that, think I will give them a go when we have finished dressing the latest injury! fortunately her feet aren't to bad and she doesn't pull shoes off she just keeps cutting herself!
