A is getting a swollen fetlock in the mornings after being stabled overnight. She isn't lame & I can't find any source of pain (leg or hoof). After 10 min of walking or being out in the field, the swelling goes & there is just a puffy area over the digital artery (inside of leg, under fetlock). Am I worrying needlessly or does anyone know what might be the cause? I'm wondering if it's an abcess but can't find where....

If the swelling affects only this one area of one leg, chances are there is a low level injury triggering it.
The trouble is that none of us can diagnose online...so maybe rest your horse, and call a vet?

she's already resting & being cold hosed twice a day. I don't like to rush off to vets when there's no lameness. Just thought someone might have seen similar symptoms.

Well, the leg is made up of hoof, bone, ligament, tendon pretty much. So it is damage to one of those structures.
It could be a low grade abscess tracking up the leg. It could be a ligament strain. It could be a tendon strain. It could be any number of things, but without a vet's examination, X-rays and/or ultrasounds etc, you are not going to know.
Sorry, can't help more

Have you tried using stable bandages just to see if that helps?

I know what you mean about not getting the vet out if your pony is not lame but could you give your vet a ring and just ask what they think?

It could be all sorts of things, most of which are pretty minor, but leg problems are always worrying.
