this am when arrived at yard my tb fetlock swollen , is warm but not hot no lamness and walked out well , have cold hosed , no cuts and no signs of mud fever , would you continue to cold hose or vet out today ? thanks

I would turn the horse out and see how he is later. Quite a few horses (incoluding my own) back legs fill when stabled over night, soon goes once they have walked it off! Could just be something as simple as this if the horse isn't lame or uncomfortable.

I would cold hose or ice & turn out as normal & see how horse is later today. I believe vets are called out far too often. A common sense approach is needed. If the problem persists then I would consider a vet call out then but not at the moment.

Had a similar problem this week with my daughters pony! Farrier came, took shoe off and found he had just a bit of pus in his foot, even though there was barely any heat barely perceptible in his hoof, but his fetlock was noticebly filled. Small hole, polticed for a couple of days and he is sound and fetlock down! Would def hose and see if walking it off helps, if not start with your farrier taking a look before vet!
