After spending 3, yes 3 hours yesterday following pony round the field trying to catch her - she may aswell have stuck a finger up at me and laughed. We finally managed to get a headcollar on her and left a rope (seriously hard to catch pony) for ease this morning as farrier coming at 9am - can't get there till 845am as got kids till school. We had to basically open the field with many helpers and put her on the farm in a small area and spend ages getting the head-collar on, once caught shes fine, not frightened by any means.
Get a call this morning to say the headcollar is off
I am so Peed off, wasted all day yesterday then. her feet are desperately long, had 3 farrier visits cancelled because of it and looks like another cancellation as cannot catch her in 15 mins on my own no-one will be about to help me.
A few friends helped me again this morning, heareded her into the farm and caught the minx, finally had her splated feet trimmed, the farrier said they wern't too bad she stood like an angel, then happily plodded back to her field, nuzzling me for carrots on the way let the rope off but kept headcollar on, she came back to me for carrots again gave her a scratch and off i went.
I think now the headcollar is on i *should* be able to get her in easier now, monday is leading out day with another horse.
