Fibre blocks

I bought some from Halleys Feeds as we stayed overnight coralling and thought it would keep him occupied. I used one dry and soaked the other one up. Would deffo use again .

I've used the Halleys and Simple Systems ones and think they are great. My horse prefers one fed dry to gnaw on and pick away at but I do soak occasionally (especially if it's been very hot and dry to up her water intake). One a day at lunchtime is part of her daily routine.

if you've got a gutsy horse it doesn't take them long to work them out. After having them a few times Fab would demolish one within 15 mins so i stopped buying them.

This.
The first time I gave my Draft mare and the Appaloosa one each, Draft mare was very cross and disappointed - she really didn't think much too it and KNEW that her friend had something better, 'cos she was enjoying hers. Eventually she got the hang of it and can get through one in about 1/4 of an hour now.

I think Halleys manufacture them and other people brand them and sell them? I know the Simple Systems ones were rebranded Halleys blox.

I keep a bag as a winter emergency ration - if it snows and we need to get forage out quickly, they are great and the horses do love them. I use the Big Fibre ones (mix of timothy hay and straw, excellent for fatties).

Got the Halleys ones delivered today. Buy the fatty blocks for greedy pony and their GreenGold ones for my horse. They can gobble them fast but that's their choice! They are useful for soaking at events and adding salt to to keep up hydration. Also dust free and very clean to use. Ponies recognise the thud as they are chucked into the field and head off to search for them now.
