during the winter months I always feed ponio twice a day. This is a token feed, a handful of happy hoof simply because he thrives on routine and because the others get fed, and we have tantrums if he doesnt.

I also give him a snackball. Last year i used diced carrots etc , but this year want to cut back on his sugar even further. He loves his snackball in the stable, it keeps him busy for hours.

So, i need something with the calorie content of Happy Hoof, which can be fed as a feed or in a snackball. Would fibre cubes do this? I don't want him to have anything but fibre. No fizziness, no condition, no weight gain.

any recommendations?

I feed my two little ones a token feed of happy hoof and they also have a snackball with spillers hi fibre cubes in it. I don't give them too many carrots because I am paranoid about laminitis

Why not try HiFi Good Doer? It is lower in calories than Happy Hoof, and if you soak it together with a couple of handfuls of fibre nuts and then split into two feeds he should be kept happy without adding to his waistline. That's what Jelly will be getting...plus you can keep him busy with the fibre nuts in his snackball.
I use the Allen&Page ones, but they're all pretty much the same.

Hope that helps

Not according to the Dengie website it isn't.
Good Doer has vits and mins added, and is more interesting than HiFi Lite.

Good Doer blurb from their site:-
Hi-Fi GOOD DO-ER is the complete maintenance feed for horses and ponies prone to weight gain. Providing approximately 7MJ/kg of slow release energy, it is similar to late cut hay and is ideal for helping to control the calorie intake of horses and ponies who need to watch their waistlines.
Yes, I do believe fibre nuts are lower cal than H&P nuts, and have a lower starch content too

TBH we only go through half a bag of Happy hoof through the winter, so i don't want to be buying separate stuff, as it'd be such a waste. I'd rather just feed fibre cubes OR happy hoof.
He doesnt like Hi Fi lite

Spillers High Fibre Cubes are very slightly lower in calories than Happy Hoof. Do remember though that their weight to volume ratio is very different. A handful of cubes will weigh quite a bit more than a handful of Happy Hoof, so do be aware of that. If feeding cubes from a bowl or bucket, as opposed to from a snack ball, I would soak them in water first to stop greedy pone choking on them.
