I was just wondering if any one has heard of this. My mini schnauzer is having an MRI scan tomorrow as he suddenly became very uncordinated and fell over. Vet says it is either the above also know as FCE, tumour or a disc. Only the disc would be ok for surgery. It is all a bit of a shock and just wondered if anyone had a dog that had FCE and what happened. I gather it is more usual in large dogs. Thanks

Thanks for that I know we have a hydrotherapy pool not too far away. It still depends how bad he ends up but I am keeping everything crossed.

best of luck Flatcoat and try not to worry...the dog, Branigan is now almost 4 years old and is still as happy and lively as ever as you can see from that site.

Thank you all for your good wishes and encouraging info. He is home now and the MRI scan showed an FCE. With physio and hydrotherapy he is expected to make a good recovery with just some weakness in one leg.
Thanks everyone
