I know this has been done to death but:

Most know I lost my beautiful girl before christmas:(. My heart still aches her sons does too.
Well its been 3 months (seems like yesterday),

I have always been against field boots for the obvious reasons:

Sweating
rubbing
etc etc.

I only put boots on when a new horse arrives for the first few days.

Bear with me - My boy has mourned for the last 3 months, he has been down lethargic not interested in life or maintaining his place in the pecking order as mum always looked out for him she was boss bar one.

Well as she was on box rest due to the recovering lami, he has been alone in the field bar 2 mates. Two new liveries took advantage and are beating up others including him. Its recently calmed down but at water and time to come in these two muscle the others out the way and demand to come in first. I say no way you do not dictate to me to come in first I make them wait.
:)

Well today for the first time I saw (apparently there was a fraca yesterday but I did not see it with the second bully.)

My boy turned on the 2nd bully and charged him swinging his quarters at him, I have not seen this spark in him for along time. These 2 liveries will kick and since my boy got a nasty injury and my boy needed stitches.

Well I have decided to temporarily put on boots in field till things settle.

Now:

I use clarendons but they get wet and sweaty if used all the time
woofs not much protection againts field kicks.

What boots to fellow members here use that are used solely for the protection from kicks from other horses. Which don't make horse sweat or rub???
he his a palo and pink skinned!!

I cannot lose my boy too due to one of these bullies:(

thanx in advance

I know Premier Equine do turnout boots if that helps? They look good. Ive never used any I'm afraid, put new horses out with brushing boots and overreaches on for first few days but thats as much as I've ever had to do.
