The three horses are currently on 2 acres and it is turning into a mud bath. Where it isn't several inches of mud it is squelchy absolutely sodden earth.
My question is, poo picking is rather difficult to say the least. I have given up on the mud as I can't tell what is poo and what is mud. Picking up on the almost mud/grass isn't much better, so, would it be ok to leave it? I plan to roll and harrow it when the horses move off onto the summer grazing we have now found. We will be moving to the new land at the beginning of April and moving back to the winter grazing in perhaps October. I also intend to take some hay off the 2 acres of winter grazing (hopefully!).
Will it be ok to abandon poo picking for a few weeks before it gets rolled and harrowed? Or should I keep picking?
