i have a field on clay and we have loads of ruts

just wondering if anyone knew good ways to get rid of them??

Harrow and roll in the spring is best...I think you can harrow in the autumn too but you need to have the ground just right. Too hard and the harrow will be ineffective, too soft and you will make a mess!
We have a clay field too and struggle to get the farmer to harrow at the right time so it is effective. But I harrow more to airiate the soil. But this will help with your ruts...which I presume are caused by horse hooves???
