Morning all,
I'm contemplating getting a tractor (for our couple of acres) and wonder if a compact tractor will pull our field shelter ? Anyone any experience of this ? I currently use our 4x4 - which is useless if it's wet.
I'll probably end up with a Fergie or similar, but smaller would do other jobs, store easier etc.
Many thanks

I would have thought so - although if it's too wet for the 4x4 a tractor will really destroy the ground around the shelter getting enough purchase to move it!
I suspect it also depends on how churned up the ground is around the shelter, if it's a foot deep in mud soup you'll need a big one!

Obviously, it depends on the weight of your field shelter.

But can you not lift it and put rollers underneath? You could maybe lever up one side at a time, slide a couple of substantial boards underneath, on each side, then rollers between the boards?

With levers and rollers you can move just about anything with a bit of ingenuity. Ropes and pullies can also work.
