this horse is advertised as having a 'fifth leg'... is that a polite way of saying he's well endowed in the man-bits department?!?

how rude!

I'd generally take that to mean that he was very nimble jumping, ie can find an extra leg when necessary to hold himself up on a dodgy landing..

seriously you have never heard the term fifth leg?

i thought it was quite commonly used- very, very useful thing for a horse to have!

If is had been a gelding it would have been like the one I had where I looked down one day to see what was slapping my boot as I rode along

My friend was peeing herself! He did it again another day. He was just so relaxed. I am tall and he was 15.3, and it used to swing from side to side slapping the bottom of my boot! Terribly embarrassing if anyone saw us.

I wonder where he is now - his name was High Tea (Harry) and he was so bright a bay he was really a chestnut with black points.
