My Mare is suffering from the same condition that she did in the spring and wonder if it is the rich grass as someone at my yard suggested it could be. Her front fetlocks, below, around and above swell when she stands in at night. She's 17 but not had this problem b4. In the spring I was cantering lots to get her fit and my vet said it was concussion as she's an idiot and throws herself all over the place when ridden.
However, Hilton herbs, cortaflex and regular work made it clear up. At the weekend she went in a field that's been rested and fertilized (about 5 weeks ago) and now her legs fill, even if she's not been ridden the night b4. Does anyone else have any ideas and reckon rich grass could be linked>?
