I have a 6 yr old ID/TB he has put on a little bit of weight since I've bought him in April and recently his legs have started to fill fetlock downwards and hinds the worse, they are fairly cold and go down after exercise and turn out. His regime has not changed, t/o 6 hours a day, light work and just a token short feed chaff and baileys no 4 He will tear bandages off so I can't bandage. Any suggestions ?

No I can't turn him out 24/7, all the horses have now come in from 24 hr turn out and go out during the day and in at night. So he can't be out on his own. I do agree being stabled does not help at all but he's always had this routine and they have only just started to fill.

I've found Calendula and Cleavers help with this. Hilton Herbs do a mix but I've found it cheaper to buy the two components from Cotswold herbs or Natural Horse Supplies and feed each at 15g/day.
