I was questioning lately whether to keep my filly or not, but she's proving herself so much, I can't bear to let her go! Today has been the best yet!

I walked in her field, and she seen me, started calling and came running over leaving the entire herd behind - which is rare! She stood and waited patiently for me to fiddle about putting her head collar on. (usually she's stamping her feet or trying to walk off!)
It only got better! She's 3 next month, and has NEVER been sat on, she came to me barely handled. I've only ever leant on her once, and anyone else that tries to lean on her she tries to get them off. She has had a bridle on a few times, but never anything more.

We managed to get a bridle on her, and even a saddle! She stood just watching us, no fuss or tantrums! Even had her lightly lunged (usually she throws her weight around or follows me!) I managed to lean on her and get her walking round. She even let me sit on her, feet in stirrups and holding the reins, not at all bothered!

We thought she was doing pretty good for never being sat on before this, so we pushed our luck, and she was so willing to please! My friend had her on the lunge line, and I was on her back. Anytime I gently squeezed my legs against her, and said something like walk on, she immediately listened and did it. She even started trotting round with me, wasn't even asked to do it! She even attempted to go into canter. She was so relaxed, head low and submissive. Not once did she kick, buck, rear, she just did everything that was asked of her!

Couldn't be anymore proud of her!

So yeah, a pretty good day for me :D Anyone else had a goo day with their companions?
