my 9 month old filly has recently had a trim from the farrier but ive had her a week and her feet are chipping quite a bit, the ground is quite stony from the field to the yard. she is currently fed a small amount of stud and youngstock cubes. Is there anything I should give her for her feet? she isnt footsore at all.

I put Hippo on NAF Biotin...it made a big difference in the quality of her hooves overall. She was suffering from chipped hooves and throwing her shoes easily. Three months on and she is a different horse, hoof wise.

Both NAF and Dodson & Horrell make a range of hoof care products. I would ask your vet and/or farrier what they recommend.

If she isn't foot sore I wouldn't worry too much- maybe get some hoof oil, or cream for dry and brittle hooves, as they can get this way right now with the dry weather etc.
Use some cornucrescine for her feet! The original is great, but I use a creamy one for dry and brittle feet.. not that my boys are atall, but it's great and really promotes growth.
How about some limestone, omega oil, seaweed in her diet, stuff thats good for the bones and tootsies.
I also live by suregrow :p FABULOUS STUFF! :D:D

Biotin THANKS YOU Arizahn, that the one I could not get the name of out :p
