Now that its got hot and the flies are out I have ransacked my medicine cupboard for something that will keep the flies off a leg with lots of wire slices - new horse got leg stuck in the stock netting at the weekend. Not ideal but at least she didn't deglove her leg!! She made quite a mess off it but it hardly swelled at all and she's been sound on it ever since.
I was using Vetricyn followed by Wonder Gel on the wounds when it was nice and windy so the air could get to them. Now its got really hot and the flies are buzzing about, I wanted to put something as a barrier on but also breathable. Would Filtabac do the job or should I use something else?
