Final International Stairway results

Not sure if any of you have been following this series, but I have really enjoyed it, and in the end it was very close at the top with the top 5 seperated by just 10 points:

8 Gemma Paternoster Osiris - 17

I hope the bsja run it again next year, it was good having a seried to follow round the country. Any of the top 5 could have been deserving winners I think, but Vicky and Soliegette did have a consistanly good performance which I think made them deserving winners - I missed a couple of the shows (not always so easy to get out of work and go watch showjumping) but I think they scored points in 5 out of the 8 shows - (and looking on the bsja website she was the only rider to do so). I thought Tina Fletcher also was looking good in this series and good to see they got a hoys wildcard at towelands last week.

Anyway, has anyone else been following this series? If so what are your thoughts?

so, is the only prize for winning the whole series extra ranking points?

Good Lord thats not much of a prize. Nice to have a plate recognising the achievement but when you think of the costs of getting the horses to all these shows and entry fees etc I think I'd want some hard cash to offset the costs.

1st 2,500; 2nd 1750; 3rd 1,250; 4th 950; 5th 500; 6th 300; 7th 150; 8th £100
