Thank you for all your thoughts and kindness. We took Tiggy to Newmarket today. They were kind and it was peaceful. The weather was beautiful. Tiggy travelled well and was pleased to see the place again. My darling horse had all the carrots, apples, and mints she could eat. We walked in the paddock and she ate grass and snuffled around. I was sad to see that she couldn't stale properly; she couldn't get her right hind leg sorted out and when she did it wouldn't take her weight, despite being on Bute: I hadn't expected her to get so bad so quickly. Lucy of the AHT was kind. Tiggy was sedated and I said goodbye. Kisses and cuddles and no pressure to leave her. Afterwards I went and sat on the floor with my Tigs. I know this is not for everyone, but she looked so peaceful. For me it was right.

My Tiggy has gone, and no matter what, I know I am so lucky to have known her. She was my first horse after waiting for many years (it was always someone elses), and she was good and kind, and brave and trusting. She was a piglet round food, and sometimes you could tell she thought I was mad. Occasionally we'd bounce sideways down the road, and she thought that all rocks were out to get her. She'd kick her door and whinny when I didn't do what she wanted quick enough, be it feed or tack up. She looked lovely in purple and we've changed our company colour to purple in her memory. I bought her to BSJA, but after a Parelli show, even if we had never made it to BSJA, I didn't mind, I just wanted to dance with her. I know Parelli is not everyone's cup of tea, but I'm a bit thiick and someitmes I need it spelled out.

So, that's my Tigs. I can't use the past tense yet, that will come, but for today at least, she is still my Tiggy.

Aw huge hugs hon. Those words you have written are so lovely you can tell she means a lot to you. You did every thing you could for her and she is now pain free.

I am so very sorry to hear of your loss. I too lost the first horse that I could really call my own not so long ago. At least now she is problem and pain free. R.I.P. Tiggy and huge hugs to you.

So sorry to hear your news but for what its worth I think you have done the kindest thing you could for your lovely horse. (((hugs)))

I'm so sorry that it had to come to this, but you did the right thing and you must have loved her so much to do that by your lovely mare. Huge (((((((((((HUGS))))))))))) Run free Tiggy xxxxx

(((((hugs)))))
RIP Tiggy
