Thoughts??!!

(I know he needs work on his schooling and his over-excited but very scopey jump but that will be very rewarding for me and good for my riding too - instructor loved him so she's keen to get started!!)

He looks very sweet, lucky you getting my first horse was the best day of my life and feels even sweeter after a wait so enjoy!! Read the description he looks lovely (obvs wouldn't suggest you overdo the jumps schooling as they get bored with it very quickly and then hard to get back on track but gridwork would be a good idea.)

my best advice is to have fun looks like you have a very special little boy so go and do everything you want to :) lucky lucky lucky!! :D don't forget lots of pics and reports please!

I know!! So exciting!!
Course i won't - im not one of these jump-happy-morons that turn up sometimes!! The only reason i was jumping courses with him in the vid was because it was when i was trying him out (filmed it so i could see him again later on before we made a decision) and obv i just wanted to see how he was -- lots of flatwork and the yard im keeping him at has lots of off-road hacking and an XC course so im going to have plenty of non-boring stuff to do :D

He looks lovely, congratulations! Out of interest where did you get him from, and do you know his registered name/where he was bred?

We got him from a part-time dealer who goes over to ireland, brings them over, then sells them on in a couple of months. Dunno yet, when he comes on monday will have a look at his passport (his show name's Experimental on the passport when we had a look at it but didnt in depth so dunno where he was bred etc)
Thanks everyone :)

:D:D he looks like a lovely boy, got quite a pop as well....have lots of fun with him and get plenty of lessons if you can....

I know my riding was appalling haha!! First time i ever rode him and he;s not easy and also i hadnt ridden in like a month as been just on the horse hunt and only found suitable ones like last week!

Lovely, would be interested to know if you don't mind satisfying the curiosity, only that I knew a lovely connie down in the south of Ireland who was the absolute spit of him and description (age/height) etc matched and was up for sale, would be lovely if it were him and he'd found you as a great home! :)

will have a look for you :) was it about two months ago by any chance?

 sorry i wasnt in any way criticising your riding(i thought you looked pretty competant) just that lots of people get a new horse and dont have lessons until they hit a problem and its best to start in the correct way and an instructor will be able to sort out any little problems before they get to be big problems.

you definately didnt look appalling!!!!!!!!

How exciting! He looks lovely and I'm sure you will have lots of fun together.

Welcome to the world of 'white' horses and may I suggest Head and Shoulders Sensitive shampoo for all the washing you will be doing in the future lololol - works a treat with mine :)

Keep us updated on your progress :)

thank you everyone :) i chose him for his character and his jump -- gives you such a fab 'flying' feeling ahah

Thanks for the tip on the shampoo ... will defo bear that in mind especially in all the mud we have at the moment!! xx
