Finally - first time taking my boy out on trailer!

I've done it!!

I had a trailer for Xmas and so after a few loading lessons for him and a couple of towing lessons for me, I took Chum down to friend's place (only a couple of miles away).

Friend and I went for a lovely hack then loaded him back on and left him munching hay while we had a drink - needed a glass of wine but made do with a cup of tea

Friend helped me load and also travelled with me - she is the driving instructor so v handy lol, couldn't have done it without her, she is fab

Sorry so self indulgent but Chum hasn't been the easiest boy to load (but was fine today) and I have never towed before so all in all it's been a great day!

Yay - well done you! I remember how excited I was after getting me lorry and going out in it the first time!!

Well done. I got my trailer last week and OH has been practising towing it empty. We've loaded pony into it but not gone anywhere so next step is to tow her around a little bit and see if she's ok and then finally take her somewhere. Many more happy and successful journeys to you!

I'm so jealous, glad it went well for you. I'm still looking for a suitable lorry for D. Once we have one there will be no stopping us

, wish I was brave enough to drive our lorry, its just huge compared to my dinky corsa !! , I diddnt mind towing the trailer , glad he loaded ok , there will be no stopping you both now !!
