After looking for ages, and having some interesting experiences and meeting some lovely people along the way, I have finally found a new horse, only 5 miles away.
I have spend hours in the car, and I dread to think how much in diesel, and have been disappointed, frustrated and even frightened. Made it more difficult for myself by not having a fixed idea of what I wanted, and in the position of having to 'replace' a much loved horse, retiring early, who I have had since a yearling.
Found out that I am not a confident rider, and realised quite how unfit I am for riding!!
So today the mare I have found passed the vetting, and will be arriving next week. She's chestnut, 15hh and rising 5, with a very laid back, calm temperement. Needs fittening and schooling, but I'm looking forward to that.
Her sire is a Connemara, dam is a TBX, but unknown what the 'X' is!!
Registered name Whitley Village Mirage, current stable name 'Maggie'. So any ideas what I can call her as I'm not overly keen on that!
