Dont post on here very often but thought would share my excellent progress! I finally plucked up the courage to get some instruction with my boy as after 3 1/2 yrs we're are not progessing too rapidly to say the least!! Had first lesson on Tuesday, it was great RI really down to earth and didnt make me feel like crap lol. So yesterday decided to try and tackle the mounting issue on my own, I realise that it has all been too easy for my boy to get out of letting me get on and I just havent had the confidence/time to just focus on overcoming it, always relying on someone being around to hold him while I get on before riding - far from ideal! Anyway I went for it, we spent an hour and half of battling, got bitten by the git twice but I finally did it, after all this time got on on my own - needless to say I cried lol. Oh and it wasnt missed by anyone my mate pulled in the yard just as I got my leg over so she witnessed it lol Proudest moment for ages, sorry for going on but OH is not horsey and doesnt get what the big deal is but knew you lot would!!!
