Finally got to hack out - whoo!

Not much point to this post really but I am just so happy that I finally managed to get a break between the gales and driving rain to hack out this morning. The weather was really mild and it didn't start raining until we had got back to the yard so I was chuffed.

There were a few people out shooting but Nelly was a star. After an initial jump about she decided that they weren't after horsemeat after all and she carried on like a good 'un. I LOVE my pony!

I forced myself to ride, yesterday and today, as can only ride at the weekend in winter.
Got soaked both times, but it was just good to be out on my boy

Definatly worth celebrating! We got out too and were lucky to miss the showers. It's quite windy but my horse doesn't mind that too much - he was a bit worried by the duck dive bombing from a wall into the pond though!

YAY me too!!! went out for 3 hours exploring some bridleways in the large woods around here, even popped some logs etc, was in my waterproofs and so was neddy but not a drop of rain, was lovely!!

Other than the pratt in the beadle & chrome van who didnt slow down lol!

Then turned him out and he is absolutely bloody plastered!!

We got out too - first time all week. Bridleways are too boggy round here, so we went round the local housing estate having a good look at people's ideas of tasteful Christmas decorations

I made the mistake of not going down today thinking it was going to rain all day on and off. Now wish I had gone and ridden

soooo annoyed !! especially after clipping hm yesterday the riding and getting soaked.

Me too me too!! I was so pleased to finally get out today and my boy was very good

I found a gap in the weather, only got a little soggy!

I'm glad that everyone who managed to get out had fun. OH and I have just taken the whippet up the fields for a nice walk. I think you really appreciate a bit of dry, fine weather when you have had blustery gales for a solid fortnight don't you?

I'm off to wrap some Christmas presents now with my new Christmas carol CD providing background music. I've finished all my cards and I'm feeling very organised which is rather a novel feeling

Me too, except it was raining when I went out, wasn’t too windy though thankfully. Bodey was great on the way out but so slow on the way back that we actually physically grinded to a halt twice on the way back because I couldn’t be bothered to kick. He’s like that some days and other days he power walks, horses hey! Glad I got out though.

Too wet and windy to ride up in Scotland!! Sniff. Think my TB was contemplating suicide this morning when she saw the weather!!

I managed to get out too on my new horse, she behaved herself, got abit forward goin a couple of times when the wind was whipping around her tail, but just happy that managed to have a ride, shame got work tomorrow as think its ment to be the only dry day for the week.
