Bit of a pointless post but just wanted to share.
I’ve still got a bit fitting consult on Saturday to make sure there’s nothing we need to change and it’s the right size/cheek etc. BUT I’ve finally found a bit that looks promising for Pepsi.
Managed to find a second hand Trust Flexi-Soft D-Ring on FB for about £40 so decided to go for it. This is the first bit that hasn’t caused sores on the inside of his lips with even a small amount of contact/half halts. He’s sooo much happier and settled in his mouth, very little chomping/chewing/mouth opening,
and I can actually start working him into a contact and using half halts. The real test will be jumping him in it, because he’s keen but usually starts fighting/head shaking as soon as you start trying to put the brakes on, which I’m going to try and do later this week.
Just keeping my fingers crossed we’ve found at least a vague type that he’ll be happy in and won’t be causing him any pain/injury!
