After our accident in late July (he bucked me off on the road, then fell over while he was galloping home), we've been taking things slowly and calmly. This was NOT helped by a freak snowstorm (i.e. it hasn't snowed here in 70 years!) in mid-August:
I finally got brave enough to pop Tally over a few fences. This was met with furious, and overly enthusiastic joy from Tally, who went a bit nuts:

I then took him to the beach for a run yesterday morning. There was a lot of galloping, as he had a tendency to walk to get his breath back then zoom off again, but there was some calm paddling in the sea, and some jumping of logs! Even better, there was no rearing or tantrums or napping!
Spring is finally here, good and proper. We're heading for a balmy high of 16C and sunshine!
