After 8 months of worrying if I did the right thing taking my TB BF, he is now out of boots and coping with most surfaces, he is now sporting good feet and striding out on everything but large gravel, a hard road (pardon the pun) for him and there were times I had to insist he walked on the road, I'm so proud of him for trusting me, as if he thought it would hurt, he would just refuse to walk.
Sorry for the gushy post, but he is 20yr old and not had the easiest of lives

Well done to you and your boy. :) It's hard watching a footy horse and wondering if the shoes should go back on. I think that boots are a great option in those situations. Which kind did you use?

I use Cavello simple boots on him, but he played at being footy today with the kids aboard, so they led him home, tonight I brought him in for a feed and he nearly beat me home, not footy at all, lanky fraud (17 hh TB)
