She has been back and to to the vet. She's losing weight and drools almost constantly. She had a tooth out and the infection in her jaw has been cleared. However, she has apparently broken her jaw at some point. 
How the hell I didn't notice I have no clue. Anyway it had healed itself but left it a bit wonky so the drool is here to stay sadly. When she sees me with kitchen roll she legs it!! 
As for the weightloss, vet has just rung me to say her last lot of blood tests show she has an overactive thyroid. Thank God it is treatable. Now, all I have to do is get the tablets down her every day...
